A park district playground in DT Wheaton!

Please replace blue individual folding exercise mats for group fitness. They are very old and don't smell great.

Add lights to Briar Patch pickleball courts!

Indoor pool with water aerobics with be a great addition!

Northside Park pool's locker room and toilet facilities are not maintained well - often unclean. My wife said the same for the women's side.

Improve Central park pickleball area. Need more benches, shade areas, and a water supply for us seniors to cool off between matches.

The newer style parks like Kelly Park, Scottdale Park, etc are fantastic and the more of these we can create and update around the better!

Get rid of the junk sand at the parks, it is dusty and then there are the sand bee issues most years and they get shut down unfortunately.

Maybe some more open gym hours on the weekends in the winter for little kids.

A couple adult rec league sports for 16in softball or basketball! Maybe quality short 9 hole disc golf course

Don't knock down old parks so quickly, they still are great! When you build a new park include features for older kids (like old kelly park!

Rathje playground needs a serious update. Ground covering is cracked, equipment is outdated.

Wheaton should have a splash pad. Playgrounds should be designed to be under shade.

Allow bikes and scooters (and open admission) at Safety Town at Toohey Park during the day (Elmhurst allows this and it works great!)

Since Rice Pool is showing its years I would like to see a renovation that includes an indoor pool, an outdoor one and a splash pad.

Move senior activities to a larger space. MLC is too small with bad parking. Add more senior activities like Lisle has.

Work with City to design safe walking/rolling/biking routes to every Wheaton park and add bike racks near features.

We travel frequently to other park districts. Wheaton has fallen far behind the other suburbs! We need better restrooms and a splash park

Indoor swimming pool!

More bathrooms closer to Naperville Road at Seven Gables and possibly include concessions in them as well to generate some revenue.

Wheaton Rams desperately need lighting at additional fields. Program has grown and kids are practicing too late at Atten and limited space.

With high fees and 50+ teams, we need quality fields, indoor space & WU board —families are leaving. This is a soccer town. Let’s invest!

I would love some more options for childcare for the age range of 6 weeks until they are in full time school. Drop in care, etc...

Let’s build an indoor pool with therapy pool/ larger track/ gyms/ community rooms, etc adjacent to the community center.

Dist 200 owns the land that the Park District operates on - Park District needs to OWN the land so the school district can't develop it!!!!!

An indoor tennis facility. Many other communities nearby have amazing park district indoor swim, tennis and workout facilities.

More LEGO and coding programs. They seem to be only offered during the summer - would love the see them throughout the year.

Go for a referendum to make all of these comments happen! Wheaton is desirable because of our AMAZING park & school system! Great work WPD!!

Work within the WPD budget: WPD residents have no interest in higher park district taxes for big capital projects.

Fix summer camp signup. It’s frustrating when you log in before 12am & the system won’t let you register before 12:07 & you get waitlisted.

Please improve our baseball facilities. We have shared practice fields, cancelled games bc they don’t drain. Too much $ to play for that.

Improve field conditions for all outdoor sports. Improve indoor training facilities and add additional facilities to accommodate teams.

Prioritize the outdoor sports fields. Work towards getting them up to higher standards than they currently are at.

WPD is not taking care of its playing fields. Many of the fields are currently unusable or in terrible shape due to mismanagement.
