Community Survey Results and April 28 Council Study Session
The results of the community survey conducted by ETC Institute, along with a summary of community engagement outcomes, were presented to City Council on April 28 as part of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
Engagement activities included community events, focus groups, public workshops, online input, and a statistically valid survey, resulting in more than 2,700 total touchpoints across the community.
The survey collected 437 responses and provides a statistically valid understanding of community needs and priorities.
Key themes from engagement include:
- High use and strong support for parks and trails
- Priority placed on maintaining and improving existing parks and facilities
- Interest in expanding trails, recreation programs, and park opportunities
- Identified gaps in sports fields, aquatics, and indoor recreation space
- Growing demand for programs, events, and outdoor experiences
