Community Health Needs Assessment Overview

The Windsor Health Department has received funding for a Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention Grant. As part of this, the Department is conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to identify community health priorities, with a focus on mental health and suicide prevention. The CHNA is being developed with support from the Windsor Mental Health Alliance, which includes community leaders working to improve mental health locally. The process involves analyzing health data and gathering community input on health experiences and perceptions.

Thank you to all who completed the CHNA survey and contributed to the social map! All contributions are currently being compiled and analyzed to inform development of the CHNA, which will be available later this year. Your input is appreciated and all information gathered will be essential as we identify health opportunities and priorities in Windsor.

Additional information and resources related to improving mental health and preventing suicide in Windsor are available on the Town of Windsor's Minds Matter page, linked here.

The CHNA is supported by the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant (PHHSBG) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
